Long Island Interior Designer Gets New Business Card Design

Michelle Lewis is a good friend of mine. She is one of Long Island’s most creative Interior Designers. I’m honored that she asked me to create her new business card design.

After much procrastination, Michelle hesitantly decided on my favorite card design. I knew she had made the right choice. This design would be the most effective at helping her attract serious inquiries. Decor and Design Incorporated was official with a business card design as proof.

In her line of work, all the senses coalesce. When she meets with her clients to discuss a project, it’s usually a  sensory experience.  All the different components that make up her presentation eventually becomes part of someone’s living environment. So, it seems natural to design a business card which is visually striking and has a feel of significance.

The resulting design combines a very heavy coated stock (paper), subtle glow with gold foil, spot varnish and embossed ampersand. When held, it has a feeling of permanence. The distinct use of colors and simple design imparts confidence.

Though the decision process took a bit longer than usual, it was worth the result.
